Set von 2 Vintage Sessel "401" von Alvar Aalto für Artek asiatique sculpté main It also stands on smallThe 401 armchair was created in 1933 as one of the first furniture pieces by Alvar Aalto, who founded the company Artek with his wife Aino and pioneered new approaches in Scandinavian design using birch wood instead of metal. This particular piece features beige faux leather upholstery and the characteristic warm design language of Finnish modernism. It is one of two identical lounge chairs from the 1930s, in good condition with visible signs of wear.
