30s/40s Neck Tie Leaf Jacquard Brown Pink Blue By Arrow embroidered applique 100% Leather (Suede)This is an older vintage necktie, probably late 1930s into early 40s, before the very exuberant and ultra wide 40s neckties became so ubiquious. It is unlined, and has a machine stitched edge. The more closely I look at the fabric, the more I love it. It's probably rayon, with a jacquard brocade weave against a satiny dark brown background. The motifs are vaguely leaflike, vaguely flame inspired, but completely beautiful, in muted shades of raspberry,
