Large 19th Century Antique Indian Hindu Ganesha Figural Votive Brass Oil Lamp, Circa 1800 Recently Added The bases have corresponding engravingA large antique early 19th century Indian brass votive oil lamp modeled as the Hindu deity, Lord Ganesha, circa 1800. A finely cast brass figure of Lord Ganesha with a crown of snakes and four arms, the head of Ganesha having a hinged lid to fill with oil, to the front is a reservoir to receive a wick which is guarded by two rats (a symbol of good fortune in Hindu culture). To the rear is a carrying handle, the base having pierced and reticulated
