The craftsmanship is charming, with beautifully textured gold hands and feet almost leaf like and diamond set legs and arms. The emeralds total 8. 5 carats, set in cut down "pie crust" outer settings, and it dates from the 1870s. Gloriously whimsical, with open mouth and cheeky expression, it's crafted in sterling silver.
