WW2 Trench Art Parachute / Flower Ring Size:9 and it bears Austro-Hungarian silverDATE: WW2, c. 1940 Remarkable WW2 "trench art" ring, circa 1915. At first (and for quite a while actually) I thought it was a simple flower design with petals and central copper detail, but looking at it now is it really a parachute and soldier viewed from the ground? During WW2 a more mechanised army offered the soldier artist access to more advanced tools and materials, so the variety and intricacy complexity of the pieces was greatly expanded. And
