Georgian Chimpanzee Labradorite Cameo Ring Size:4.75 this one is a particularlyDATE: Georgian, c. 1830 Striking antique cameo ring set with a quite startling chimpanzee head carved in labradorite. The ape is carved in high relief, a menacing look on its face, wide eyed with bared teeth. The prominent carving also serves to showcase labradorite's unique optical effect known as schiller in this case with a shimmering green grey colour. Although it came to us as a ring, with simple split shoulder shank, it likely started off life
